I’m remembering why I embraced eSports games (Rocket League and Overwatch) over “story / campaign” games.

Recently picked up Last of Us again (hadn’t played since 2014): too much repetitive grind and obvious “puzzles” vs story.

Tried Last Guardian and remake of Shadow of the Collosus. Both are beautiful and interesting at a conceptual level, but quickly become tedious.

Games need to be fun second by second and minute by minute, independent of story, mood, etc.

These all fail at that
